Palari

The winery Palari originates from a wonderful dream, which has aroused a deep interest in the territory of Messina and for the Nerello Mascalese grape. In the '80s, the meeting with Gino Veronelli gave Salvatore Geraci, the owner of the winery, the certainty that his desire to produce a wine in a vineyard located practically on the seafront, could become a reality. His tenacity and the consulting support of Donato Lanati did the rest. The grapes come from 70/80 year old plants, grown according to the tree system, on sandy soils, located at about 600 meters above sea level on stone terraces with steep slopes, often exceeding 80 percent. Among the native grape varieties used we find the Nerello, the Nocera, the Cappuccio Tignolino, the Core'e Palumba, the Acitana, the Galatena... all grapes that fall within the regulations for the production of Faro Doc. The wines of Palari are authentic and bold, capable of revitalizing a Doc and a territory in a unique way, exceeding expectations like few others have been able to do.
