This wine is obtained from a blend of Nero D'Avola and Frappato grapes, with an alcohol content of 13.5%. The soil in which the vines grow is a medium mixture in part of sandy nature (Frappato) and partly calcareous and silica (Nero d’Avola) broken by layers of clay.. Vinification takes place through preferential maceration for 48 hours. Alcoholic fermentation conducted at controlled temperature between 22 -26 degrees with 20 days of maceration on the skins. Upon completion of malolactic fermentation it follows a 18-month maturation part in tonneaux and part in steel and finally aging in bottle of at least 12 months. The Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG "Don Vicè" is a wine produced according to a productive philosophy respecting the environment and according to the FIVI philosophy. It is recommended to serve this wine at a temperature between 14 and 18 °C. Gurrieri

Siamo nelle campagne dei Monti Iblei, nella fertile Val di Noto, nella zona dell’unica DOCG Siciliana, quella del Cerasuolo di Vittoria. La tradizione agricola familiare diventa così un’attività aziendale ma di nicchia, per produrre vini di grande pregio, capaci di rispettare la terra d’origine e di valorizzarla attraverso i suoi migliori frutti. Per ciascuna etichetta, si producono piccole quantità: 3000 bottiglie circa. Nasce così la “collezione” Gurrieri che diventa il riflesso della vocazione agricola e contadina del ragusano. La famiglia oggi lavora unita per produrre vini Docg e Igt di Sicilia, coltiva in biologico e valorizza vitigni autoctoni come il Nero d’Avola, il Frappato, il Grillo e un vitigno internazionale, il Syrah, bene adattato ai suoli e al clima siciliano. Papà Vincenzo, Don Vicè, a cui sono dedicati alcuni vini, continua il suo lavoro in vigna da lavoratore instancabile ed appassionato. Mamma Graziella cura la parte amministrativa dell’azienda e si occupa della famiglia. A lei i figli dedicano lo Spumante Metodo Classico da uve Nero d’Avola e Frappato vinificate in bianco, che prende il nome di “Donna Grazia”. I vini raccontano l’immutata bellezza della tradizione contadina nell’incontaminata natura dei Monti Iblei. Nelle vigne, coltivate in biologico e nel rispetto della terra, i filari ricamano i declivi di un terreno dai riflessi argillosi, “paradiso” naturale per la vite, con i muretti a secco di pietra bianca che arricchiscono il paesaggio. I suoli di origine calcarea donano ricchezza e complessità. Il clima mediterraneo ventilato, qui contraddistinto da importanti escursioni termiche, contribuisce a dare al prodotto forza, vigore, profumi e sapori unici.
