Horus

La società agricola e la cantina Horus sono la sintesi di un’esperienza imprenditoriale iniziata nel 1974 dalla famiglia Giudice. Nel territorio ibleo tra Acate e Vittoria caratterizzato da un clima caldo e mediterraneo, mitigato dalla brezza marina, si estendono cento ettari di terreno, di cui trenta coltivati a vite e i restanti a mandorleti ed uliveti.
Il giusto equilibrio tra temperatura, altitudine e distanza dal mare contribuiscono all’unicità di questo contesto ambientale che ci ha incoraggiato a valorizzare e ad esaltare le qualità delle varietà autoctone e tradizionali: Nero D’Avola, Frappato, Grillo, Insolia e Moscato. L’etica della produzione, il rispetto dell’ambiente e del paesaggio, attraverso una viticoltura sostenibile e duratura, caratterizzano l’identità della cantina Horus. Cantina Horus è una realtà giovane e dinamica che ha scelto di valorizzare le varietà autoctone e più antiche del territorio utilizzando un metodo di coltivazione biologico. I nostri vini biologici certificati provengono da vigneti le cui terre vengono coltivate secondo il sistema dell’agricoltura biologica: un modello di sviluppo sostenibile basato sui principi di salvaguardia e valorizzazione delle risorse, sul rispetto degli equilibri dell’ambiente e della salute del consumatore. Programmiamo la vinificazione fin dal vigneto, eliminando l’utilizzo di sostanze chimiche e antiparassitari sistemici che tendono a stimolare la produzione quantitativa della pianta a scapito di quella qualitativa e ad impoverire il prezioso rapporto terreno – pianta – clima che costituisce l’equilibrio necessario per lo sviluppo di una vite forte, che produce uve sane, equilibrate, ricche e che rendono identificabili e unici i vini.
