Modica di San Giovanni

In South-Eastern Sicily, the heart of the production area for D.O.C. "Eloro" wine and D.O.P. "Monti Iblei" oil, where Europe ends in front of Africa, but the cultural roots are deeply European, lie the lands of Bufalefi, owned by the Modica di San Giovanni family. The Modica di San Giovanni Winery extends over 300 hectares in Bufaleffi, in the countryside of Noto. For centuries, our family has passionately and competently cultivated vines, olive trees, citrus trees, almond trees, and carob trees. There are various ways to keep up with the times. We have chosen the most difficult, but also the most rewarding: marrying high technology with tradition and respect for the environment. This is not a simple makeover operation, but a profound change taking place right in Bufalefi, aimed at creating a modern company with very high-quality productions.
