This wine, produced in Italy, has an alcohol content of 13.5% and is certified organic. The grapes used for its production grow on marly and chalky soils, which give the wine a particular complexity and minerality. The vinification takes place separately for the two varieties, in steel wine vats, with a maceration of about 10-12 days at a temperature of about 20°C. The malolactic fermentation is natural and takes place in barriques and in 2500 liter barrels of French and American oak, for a duration of about 10 months. Subsequently, the wine is assembled in steel wine vats and adequately aged in the bottle. Funaro Pile della Ciaula is a versatile wine, ideal for accompanying first courses, red meats and white meats. The recommended serving temperature is between 14 and 18 °C. The Funaro winery produces organically. This wine represents the essence of Sicilian wine tradition, with a particular attention to quality and respect for the environment.
