Description
Alagna
The Alagna family, from the fine grapes produced in their own vineyards, brings the flavour of nature, the sun and the earth to your glass. Respect for tradition and love for our work give rise to quality wines that characterise the territory. The winery, obtained from ancient tuff quarries, is open to all wine lovers. The winery has been in operation for more than 75 years and for its consistency and commitment has been included in the official register of Winery historic brands of national interest in Italy. The company has a capacity of 50,000 hectolitres of wine distributed in various types of containers: steel tanks, concrete, fibreglass or large wooden barrels. In addition, it is possible to see a wide range of machinery used for the production and refinement of the final product, including a large and sophisticated grape crushing system that is necessary for the production of high-quality wines. Since Marsala is one of the main products of the Alagna company, there is a large wine ageing area where you can see a large number of oak barrels in which traditional production systems such as the Soleras and the alcoholisation of the musts are still used.
