Description
Coppola 1971
A project of only Bubbles produced from native Sicilian grape varieties to transfer the true soul of our island into each glass. Coppola1971, a family-run company, is located in the Palermo district, in Partinico. Active for three generations, today it is led by two young cousins, Ilenia and Francesco Coppola. Founded in 1971 by grandfather Francesco, today the company, which boasts a good 70 hectares entirely cultivated organically between Alcamo and Partinico, is the first winery in Sicily to produce exclusively sparkling wines from only native grape varieties of the island: Catarratto, Grecanico, Grillo, Inzolia, Moscato, Nerello Mascalese and Nero d’Avola. The vineyards of Coppola 1971 are located in C/da Tarantola in the hinterland between Alcamo and Palermo, they have an extension of about 80HA of which 70 are vineyards and 10 are olive groves. The hectares dedicated to sparkling wine production are 15Ha. The varieties of grapes present raised on Guyot trellises are: Cataratto, Inzolia, Grecanico, Grillo, Moscato, Nerello Mascalese, Nero d'Avola. The production is certified organic by the Bioagricert body.
