The following morning, the grapes are manually sorted on a sorting table and sent whole to the soft press. The must obtained is then transferred to steel tanks for a cold stabilisation of two weeks, during which it is stirred daily. Subsequently, the must is racked and fermented in a combination of tonneaux, oak barrels and steel, with a distribution of 25% in steel, 60% in barrels and 15% in barriques and tonneaux. The wine matures in oak for 9 months, evenly divided between large barrels of 35 and 25 hl and tonneaux of 5 hl. This maturation gives the wine an aromatic complexity and an elegant structure. Serra Ferdinandea Bianco Sicilia DOC is ideal for accompanying appetisers, first courses, fish, shellfish, cold cuts and vegetables. The recommended serving temperature is between 8 and 10°C. Serra Ferdinandea

Serra Ferdinandea is a dream made in Sicily. The common vision of the Oddo and Planeta families, who with passion and friendship wanted to unite France and Sicily in this project. A vineyard surrounded by woods, overlooking that stretch of sea where in 1831 the Ferdinandea Island appeared for a few days, which the French and Italians disputed. The Serra Ferdinandea wines combine Sicilian varieties with French ones; just like the two families that gave life to the project: Oddo from France and Planeta from Sicily.
