Description
Foti Randazzese
The Vineyards, located within the territory of Nicolosi and more precisely on the two most important pyroclastic cones: Mompileri and Monti Rossi. Generated respectively from the eruptions of 693 B.C. and 1669 A.D., they are found at an altitude that varies from 700 to 900 meters above sea level and are characterized by fertile volcanic soils, which give our wines the perfect balance between minerality, acidity and flavor. The peculiarity of our slope is the exposure, perfectly at midday: overlooking the Ionian Sea, oriented towards the Catania coast, the vineyards benefit from sunlight from dawn to dusk. Etna, "island within the island" as it is often defined on each slope, gives strong and unique expressions. The privilege of being on the south slope gives the vineyards immense energy, starting from an almost poetic aesthetic to a millimetric quality of cultivation and maturation. The sun, the wind and the sandy volcanic soil make this small piece of land a true corner of wine-growing paradise.
