Criante

Criante is a family-run reality located in Alcamo, in western Sicily. It is not only a winery run by Irene and Davide, but we also find the uncles Nino and Davide who work in the countryside and brother Enrico who, together with cousin Anna, manage the organic products shop. The company extends over 25 hectares between vineyards, olive groves, vegetable gardens and various fields of ancient Sicilian grains. The vineyards, certified organic, of Catarratto, Grillo and Perricone are located on clayey soils and are caressed by the sea breeze. In the cellar, all fermentations are spontaneous and the wine does not undergo any alteration. Wines that are an expression of a grape variety and its territory, so much so that the Contrada of origin of the wine is always reported on the label.
