Vigne Alte Etna Rosso is a Sicilian wine of great character, produced with selected grapes from the north side of Etna. This Etna Rosso DOC is composed of 80% Nerello Mascalese and 20% Nerello Cappuccio, two native grape varieties that give the wine a complex structure and a unique aromatic profile. With an alcohol content of 13%, this red wine represents the essence of Etna viticulture, expressing the volcanic terroir from which it comes. The sandy soil, rich in minerals, with a sub-acid reaction, gives the wine a distinctive minerality and a vibrant freshness. The grapes, hand-picked and transported in crates, are immediately destemmed and pressed to preserve the quality of the fruit. Maceration takes place in steel tanks for about a week, followed by aging for about 9 months, also in steel. Bottle aging lasts at least 3 months, allowing the wine to further develop its aromas and complexity. Vigne Alte Etna Rosso pairs perfectly with white meats, vegetables, first courses and semi-mature cheeses, offering a balanced and satisfying taste experience. The ideal serving temperature is between 14 and 18 °C, to best enhance its organoleptic characteristics. This artisanal wine is a true tribute to Sicilian wine tradition, capable of telling the story and passion of those who produce it.
