Cusumano Altamora Etna Rosso is a Sicilian wine of great character, made exclusively with Nerello Mascalese grapes. This Etna Rosso DOC comes from the northern slope of Etna, an area renowned for its high-quality viticulture. The wine has an alcohol content of 14%, expressing the characteristics of the volcanic terroir from which it comes. The winemaking process involves a destemming and gentle pressing of the grapes, followed by a maceration at 28°C for about 12 days. The malolactic fermentation takes place in steel, ensuring greater freshness and aromatic complexity. Subsequently, the wine matures for 6 months in large 25 hl barrels, which contribute to developing a balanced and harmonious structure. Cusumano Altamora Etna Rosso is a versatile wine, ideal for accompanying cold cuts, first courses, red meats, game and aged cheeses. The recommended serving temperature is between 14 and 18 °C, to fully appreciate its organoleptic nuances. This wine represents an excellence of Sicilian viticulture, capable of telling the story and tradition of the Etna territory through every sip.
