Fedegraziani

A wine does not have to be perfect. It has to be true. I have dedicated my life to wine, to knowing it and appreciating it, in an attempt to understand its infinite complexity. Each wine is a world unto itself, that lives, grows and changes as humans do, maturing over time a personality that makes it unique and different from all others. Loving a wine is like loving a person: to succeed we must strip ourselves of our prejudices, learning to understand and accept the thousand facets of its character, with the utmost honesty and all the respect it deserves. My vineyards are located on the slopes of Etna, between 600 and 1200 meters above sea level on the north and north-west slopes. A mysterious and special place, a unique ecosystem in the world characterized by extraordinary climatic variability and a landscape rich in contrasts and life. It is precisely by living in symbiosis with the volcano and adapting to the strength and unpredictability of its elements that here, for over 2000 years, the vine has been cultivated in small patches of land torn from the mountain. A slow and ancient work, done by hand with effort, passion and respect. Today as then.
