Produced in Sambuca di Sicilia, this red wine represents the essence of the Sicilian wine tradition. With an alcohol content of 13.5%, it stands out for its balance and complexity. The limestone soil, characterised by ancient marine deposits, gives the wine a unique minerality and solid structure. The fermentation takes place in wooden vats and steel tanks, followed by a maceration on the skins for 4 weeks, which allows the best extraction of tannins and aromas. After fermentation, the wine rests for a few months in wooden barrels, further refining its aromatic profile. On the nose, the Serra Ferdinandea Rosso Sicilia DOC offers notes of ripe red fruits, spices and a slight hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied and enveloping, with soft tannins and a persistent finish. This wine pairs perfectly with cured meats, aged cheeses, robust first courses, red meats and game. The ideal serving temperature is between 14 and 18 °C, to best enhance its organoleptic characteristics. A wine that tells the story and passion of Sicily, ideal to accompany convivial moments and important dinners.

Serra Ferdinandea
Serra Ferdinandea is a dream made in Sicily. The common vision of the Oddo and Planeta families, who with passion and friendship wanted to unite France and Sicily in this project. A vineyard surrounded by woods, overlooking that stretch of sea where in 1831 the Ferdinandea Island appeared for a few days, which the French and Italians disputed. The Serra Ferdinandea wines combine Sicilian varieties with French ones; just like the two families that gave life to the project: Oddo from France and Planeta from Sicily.
