Description
Barone di Villagrande
We are the wine we make. We are young, fresh in spirit and energy, we work together with pleasure, with the desire to create something new from the centuries-old roots of an estate on the slopes of Etna. Our historic cellar. We have been cultivating vineyards on Etna since 1727. Day after day the vineyards extend their roots into the earth. The wines mature over time and people also refine themselves in the territory. Our family has refined itself in 10 generations on Etna. Purest tasting of the territory. They have in themselves the spirit of our vineyards, which are on the east slope of Etna, at 700 meters, overlooking the coast of Taormina on the island of Salina, in the Aeolian archipelago, in front of the north-eastern coast of Sicily. We believe that the environment that surrounds us is the most precious heritage we possess and operating in full respect of its delicate balances has always been our goal. Our intervention is limited to assisting the plant, first, and the grape, then, in an exciting journey. The wines that come to life in our cellar are an expression of the territory, the vines, the vintage. We are equally aware that man with his work, his choices, his wise guidance, is able, with the complicity of nature, to create unique and delicious creations. In the elegance and fragrance of our wines lies our experience, our land, our pride.
