Description
Irene Badalà
"Since the mid-1800s, from father to son, we have been taking care of our vineyard in Passopisciaro in the Santo Spirito district. " The land from which our wine is born, located in the Santo Spirito district in Passopisciaro, has belonged to my family for over a century and our viticultural tradition began about a hundred years ago, when it was decided to increase the production of vines with about 3000 plants of nerello mascalese, bush-trained. Today, it is my husband and I who passionately and dedicatedly take care of our land on the slopes of Etna, which now has as many as 12,000 plants. Our wine is the result of years and years of passion, study, and hard work that have allowed us today to build our company on the philosophy that "wine is produced in the vineyard", thanks to our care that combines ancient and new knowledge and through great attention to the constantly changing needs of our plants. We do not weed in the vineyard with chemical products and we use manure for fertilization. We are also very attentive to the protection of the environment and that is why 70% of our business reality is powered by solar energy.
