Terre di Montalto

Resuming ancient family traditions linked to the world of wine, the company "Terre di Montalto ssa" was founded in 2006 with the "mission" to produce excellent wines from nerello mascalese, nerello cappuccio and carricante grapes. The vineyards located on the south-west side of Etna, thanks to the intense brightness, high temperatures and significant temperature changes, give the grapes and therefore the wine finesse and elegance. The 25% slope of the lands in the municipality of Biancavilla, the presence of terraces and the constant ventilated and dry microclimate favored by the Scirocco winds that blow from the south, give our grapes a natural defense from pathogens. Therefore, the grapes produced, naturally healthy, mean that in winemaking a small amount of sulfites is enough, giving goodness and naturalness to our wines.
