[description] => Massimo Lentsch Cosentino Etna Rosso is a Sicilian wine of great character, made exclusively with Nerello Mascalese grapes. This Etna Rosso DOC comes from the northern slope of Etna, an area renowned for its high-quality viticulture. With an alcohol content of 13%, this red wine represents the essence of Sicily and Italy. The grapes, grown on volcanic soils, are hand-picked and partially de-stemmed. Fermentation occurs thanks to naturally present yeasts, with a long maceration of the wine in contact with the skins. The ageing takes place in oak barrels for about 15 months, followed by a transfer to steel tanks where the wine naturally decants. Subsequently, it is bottled without any clarification and filtration process, and rests in the bottle for at least 6 months before being marketed. This process gives the wine a complex structure and a rich and varied aromatic bouquet. It is ideal for accompanying red meats, aged cheeses and game, enhancing the flavours of these dishes with its intensity and depth. The recommended serving temperature is between 14 and 18 °C, to best appreciate all its organoleptic nuances.

The decision to establish vineyards and a winery on Etna came at a particular moment in my life, where much has transformed on a personal level: a sort of stage that marks a significant change. Producing quality wines in a highly trending area, but also extremely competitive, represents a significant challenge for me that I intend to win. Etna is not just a volcano. Etna is "A'Muntagna" as those who live in symbiosis with it say... I would like to leave a mark once again, producing a decidedly original wine, a child of the lava, rich in the energy that emanates from the volcanic soil from which it is born.
