Di Giovanna

The company Di Giovanna is managed by the brothers Gunther and Klaus. The winery is located in the mountains at the foot of Mount Genuardo, a protected nature reserve. The family vineyards are organically cultivated between Sambuca di Sicilia and Contessa Entellina, in the heart of western Sicily. The property extends for almost 100 hectares and consists of 65 hectares of vineyards, 14 of olive groves, and 21 of wheat fields and forests. The family's five estates (Miccina, Gerbino, Paradiso, San Giacomo, and Fiuminello) are located in the small DOC of Contessa Entellina and Sambuca di Sicilia, in the heart of the Terre Sicane. The Miccina, Gerbino, and Paradiso vineyards are located at an altitude between 350 and 480 meters above sea level, in the territory of Contessa Entellina. The San Giacomo and Fiuminello vineyards (680-830 m.s.l.m.) climb the slopes of Mount Genuardo and surround the winery. The vineyards, after careful micro-pedoclimatic studies, have been planted choosing international and native varieties. The white varieties include Chardonnay, Catarratto, Grillo, and Viognier. The red ones are Nero d’Avola, Nerello Mascalese, Merlot, and Syrah.
