The Cusumano Sàgana Sicilia DOC is a prestigious Sicilian red wine, made exclusively from 100% Nero D'Avola grapes. This wine comes from the renowned area of Butera, located in the heart of Sicily, Italy. With an alcohol content of 15%, the Cusumano Sàgana stands out for its robust structure and decisive character. The soil where the vines grow is limestone and rich in white marls, giving the wine a unique minerality and significant aromatic complexity. The winemaking process involves destemming followed by maceration and alcoholic fermentation in steel for a period of 10-15 days. Subsequently, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in 20 hl oak barrels, where it remains for 18 months to refine and further develop its aromas and flavors. The Cusumano Sàgana is a versatile wine, ideal for pairing with rich first courses, red meats, game and aged cheeses. The recommended serving temperature varies between 14 and 18 °C, to allow the wine to best express all its organoleptic characteristics. This wine represents the essence of Sicilian winemaking tradition, with a perfect balance between power and elegance, making it an excellent choice for lovers of quality red wines.
