Subsequently, the wine rests for more than 4 months in cement tanks. The soil in which the vines grow is of medium dough, with a prevalence of limestone and a good presence of skeleton. This contributes to giving wine unique characteristics. The Doppiozeta is perfectly matched with red and white meats, mature cheeses and vegetables. Its production takes place in the province of Syracuse. The recommended service temperature to best appreciate this wine is between 14 and 18 °C. Zisola

The charm of the Sicilian territory The Estate is located in South-Eastern Sicily, the birthplace of the Nero d'Avola grape, a short distance from Noto, famous for its baroque buildings and a Unesco World Heritage site. In this land rich in history, culture and charm, the Mazzei have identified unexpressed potential and started an ambitious wine project in 2003. The current 24 hectares of vineyard, made with a planting density of 5500 vines per hectare raised in the traditional bush shape. The climate is that of the insular Mediterranean with mild winters, hot and dry summers, mitigated only by the cooler currents due to the proximity of the Ionian Sea: a refreshing breeze that Zisola can enjoy thanks to its altitude. The soil is rich in limestone and stony skeleton, ideal for giving wines complexity, finesse, dense and elegant texture.
