For us at Vita Nova, being winemakers on Etna means listening to the earth to create unique wines that treasure tradition, because there is no New Life without past lives. At 620 mt above sea level, in Passopisciaro, a fraction of Castiglione di Sicilia, we at Vita Nova are producers of Etna wines out of passion and loyalty to our land. It's as if the wine bursts from the Volcano giving us, however, the illusion of being its creators. The helplessness felt in the presence of our volcano is less scary in front of a glass of Etna wine, because we know that is our end point and that, year after year, we reach it successfully, with dedication and sacrifice, bringing our passion to the glass which, in every season, has a different flavor. The wisdom of the past is perpetuated on an always renewed fertility, that of the Contrade, fruit of lava flows, where the wines of Etna are born. New land springs from the volcano with the same impetuosity with which innovation meets the ancient local culture of winemaking, embracing the new lands, with vineyards and established and original techniques.
