In 2001, Sébastien Burel moved to Burgundy to learn the art of winemaking. After 20 years of experience, he decided it was time to start his own business. For this project, he chose Etna and here in 2021 he founded La Ripresa, a very young estate located on the North-West side of Etna. He works according to the principles of organic viticulture and agroforestry. The vineyards are distributed over 2 plots: Tartaraci, black/volcanic sand land at 950 m altitude and Sorge, composed of white marly soil at 900 m altitude. He produces mountain wines, volcanic, light and healthy.
