The history of the farm Barbadoro has its roots in three generations of history, when from the early 1900s, grandfather Michele began to cultivate the land, dedicating most of the cultivation of his lands to the production of wine. In the family winery, already existing since 1940, the grapes were crushed in respect of traditional methods, giving a wine that would give shape and life to what is now produced in a modern and innovative company. The Barbadoro company, strong from its history and the experience gained over the years, has decided to continue in the production of wine, respecting the traditional cultivation methods. Currently the company has 6000 plants largely cultivated with a bush training system, a specialized system of vine breeding traditionally used in climatic areas where the presence of water is not favorable. This allows to extrapolate a precious fruit, with much lower quantitative yields but of decidedly superior quality. So much so that Unesco has declared the agricultural practice of "bush vine cultivation" a heritage of humanity, the first agricultural practice in the world to obtain this prestigious recognition.
