Barone Montalto was born in 2000 in Santa Ninfa, in the province of Trapani. Our constant passion has always been the driving force behind our project. Montalto wines come from a great tradition combined with a youthful character. Barone Montalto has grown over the years, as have our vineyards and the satisfaction of our customers, who continue to choose our wines with ever greater confidence. Making wine is a noble and ancient art. To achieve this goal we have created a young team, driven by a passion for the land and respect for traditions, but also open to innovations. Sicily is a strong and legendary land. The climate and nature and the experience of the winegrowers make it a unique place for vine cultivation. It is no coincidence that it is the most important wine region in Italy. Barone Montalto manages about 400 hectares of vineyards, some of which are owned. The remaining part is subject to the "Montalto quality protocols" thanks to which the quality of the delivered grapes is controlled and guaranteed, confirming a qualitative growth over the years. Most of our vineyards are located in the heart of the Belice Valley, near Santa Ninfa. A historical territory but also ideal for vine cultivation where the winemaking cellar is also located. The other vineyards are located in the province of Agrigento, in the Valley of the Temples, and in Noto, in the south-western part of the island.
