The Sebànte winery, located in San Cipirello (Palermo), produces typical Sicilian wines in the vineyards of the sunniest hills in the area (at the foot of Mount Jato), from which you can enjoy the view of the nearby Lake Poma and the valley exposed towards the Gulf of Castellammare. From the combination of the gentle evening sea breeze and the name "Maria" - in honor of the owner's mother, comes the line of Mari è wines. Sebànte - Anima Vini, was born from the idea of the owner, Lorenzo Mercadante, as a tribute to his father Sebastiano, from which the name of the cellar comes, finding inspiration in the words of "The Soul of Wine" by Charles Baudelaire, in which the wine, speaking in the first person, tells its story and its journey from the vine to the bottle and as a "prisoner" wants to honor the effort and sacrifice with which man has created it, offering itself to him. Anima Vini, in this sense, expresses the essence of human and family relationships that are at the base of the production of a wine: the care and attention of a winemaker for his vines as if they were children, the passion for his product capable of creating a bond between who produces it and who consumes it that goes beyond the simple act of drinking. The wine thus becomes, with its soul "vegetable ambrosia" to share stories and emotions.
