In the Belice valley, the vineyards are nestled on the hills surrounding Lake Arancio, where lush vegetation surrounds a town rich in local myths and legends. The origins of the name Zabù are rooted in history from its founder, the Arab emir Al Zabuth The Splendid, who, right in Sambuca, had given a great boost to the revival of viticulture. This generous land hosts very old vineyards, heirs of a millennial tradition, which today the talent of our winemakers manages to transform into wines of great personality and expression of a territory of great vocation. Our winery is located in the beautiful setting of Sambuca di Sicilia, an area characterized by gentle hills that surround Lake Arancio and by expanses of vineyards and olive groves as far as the eye can see. Here, the dry climate and the hot sirocco wind, the sea breezes and the different compositions of the soil create ideal microclimates for the cultivation of various native grape varieties, creating an optimal habitat for wines of great complexity and characterized by the typical traits of the Mediterranean scrub.
