The Company is located on the northern slope of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. The soils are of volcanic origin and derive from the disintegration of lava masses, ashes and lapilli. Generally, these are soils formed in place (autochthonous) or transported by rainwater, which in certain flat areas at the foot of the volcano, have originated vast sandy extensions, of a darkish color, deep and very fertile. The climate of the northern slope of Etna is characterized by mild temperatures, feeling the influence of the mountainous reliefs to the north (Nebrodi mountains). The result is a late environment due to exposure and prevailing altitude that favor strong thermal excursions. The combination of soil, climate and the wisdom of the vine growers, have made the northern slope of Etna an ideal territory for the production of very high quality wines but above all particular and unique.
