Grìsi: a precious land, rich in hidden treasures The term "Grìsi", from which the company's name derives, comes from the ancient Greek "gold" and alludes both to the wealth and fertility of this sun-kissed terroir caressed by the Mediterranean Sea, and to a mysterious treasure hidden beneath the cellar. In every bottle, the flavor of the sun, nature, and Sicilian land With passion and expertise, the Di Lorenzo family has decided to firmly focus on the oldest native vines of Sicily, such as Grillo and Nero d’Avola, of which typicality and quality are enhanced, without however neglecting international varieties, such as Viognier and Syrah, which have shown greater adaptability to the terroir and of which they are an excellent expression. Perched on the hills of the vast territory surrounding Monreale, between Palermo and Trapani, at an altitude between 400 and 500 mt s.l.m. The cellar overlooks the valleys of the Belice and Jato rivers, known since ancient times for the mild climate and the richness of the vegetation. Already the Arab Emirs in the XII century d.c. praised the area as the most fascinating of all the "Conca d'Oro", thanks to its watercourses, the unmistakable scents of the dense vegetation of the Mediterranean scrub, the fountains, the palm trees that grew everywhere and the perfectly cultivated fields.
