Our story began in the 90s from love, passion and research in the wine sector. From the beginning, we thought it was important to give the company a modern imprint while respecting tradition. Our mission: the protection and safeguarding of biodiversity in our territory. Our main activity is dedicated to wine production from native vines, such as Nerello Mascalese, Carricante and Catarratto, which, when placed in their natural habitat, infuse a typical volcanic character to our wines. We also guard ancient varieties of fruit trees native to the Etna territory, as well as an oak forest, intact from a naturalistic point of view that helps us in the organic management of the vineyards, as a shelter for useful insects. The company is located in Castiglione di Sicilia, at 750 meters above sea level, on the north side of Etna in the Piano Filici district. Filici in Sicilian dialect means fern; in fact, it grows lush and tenacious in our district, and for this reason we have chosen it as our symbol.
