The Eudes winery is located in the south-eastern part of Etna, more precisely its vineyards are developed on the slopes of Monte Gorna, at about 700-750 m s.l.m. with a full south exposure, for a total of 5 hectares of vineyards. The main vines used are the native varieties of the territory, such as Carricante, Catarratto and Nerello Mascalese with the latter located in a vineyard with an average age of 140 years. The development project of the company starts from Giovanni's father who fell in love with this land at the end of the 70s, and only after various negotiations did he manage to realize his dream, the purchase of the lands that the company is now made up of; a dream that is now carried forward by his son Giovanni Messina and Laura Torrisi; scrupulous emerging talents who reap the beautiful fruits of this land. "Our philosophy is to respect what the vineyard has given us and to produce typical Etna wines. Once the grapes arrive in the cellar, they are gently pressed and the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. The wines are bright, silky and deep but the main characteristic of our wine is undoubtedly its great minerality".
