The Meridio Arundo Terre Siciliane IGT is a Sicilian red wine made 100% from Alicante grapes, coming from the renowned area of Chiaramonte Gulfi. This wine, with an alcohol content of 13.5%, is an excellent example of the Sicilian winemaking tradition. The soil where the vines grow is brown, pebbly and limestone, set on a rocky calcarenite level with a marl substrate, which gives the wine a unique complexity. The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, with a maceration of the skins of about 10 days. In the cellar, the work is carried out rationally and reasonably, minimizing any type of technical intervention. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in steel, followed by aging in French oak tonneaux for about 24 months and a further 6 months in the bottle. This process gives the Meridio Arundo a robust structure and a complex aromatic profile, ideal for accompanying red meats, aged cheeses and game. The recommended serving temperature is between 14 and 18 °C.
